If a patient is interested in LASIK, she will thoroughly explain the procedure to the patient and help him or her decide whether it is the right decision. If the patient is interested, she will do some preliminary tests and also help the patient pick the right surgeon and the appropriate laser procedure. Dr. Arredondo can recommend a surgeon and can often set up a free LASIK consultation for the patient.
If the patient decides to proceed with LASIK, she will often try to attend her patient’s surgery. She will then see the patient postoperatively to make sure the eyes heal properly. Dr. Arredondo loves seeing her patients’ amazing results! Many of her patients are unable to see the “big E” before surgery, but can easily see 20 / 20 after the procedure. This is Dr. Arredondo’s favorite part of co-managing LASIK.
